Curriculum
Once your makerspace is open to the community, you can apply to access our three year curriculum. If selected, our team will provide a part time staff member to oversee after school classes for local high school students where they will learn a comprehensive set of skills and mindsets that will prepare them to succeed in the 21st century.
1st Module:
Technical Skills
2nd Module:
Technology and
Design Thinking
Students will build a variety of free hands on projects to learn skills like laser cutting, 3D printing, 3D CAD design, programming, and basic electronics.
Students will use their technical skills and work in teams to design a solution for a challenge in medicine, education, or the environment.
3rd Module:
Peer Teaching
Advanced students will become mentors to junior students and will have access to STEM internship opportunities and funding for personal projects.
